Poker After Dark is an hour-long late night poker television program on NBC, which debuted January 2007 in its NBC All Night programming lineup, airing six nights a week. Participants in this made-for-television No Limit Texas hold 'em mini-tournament include many top poker professionals. Each week, six players vie for a $120,000 pot, with each paying a $20,000 buy-in. The show is hosted by Shana Hiatt. Oliver "Ali" Nejad is the announcer. Each night of original programming features an intimate look at one table as it develops over one day, however it is edited for broadcast over the course of a week, culminating with a winner on Friday night. Saturday night's show recaps the week's events (including highlights of Hiatt's outtakes) and the week's winner and participants offering commentary. The show's main original sponsor was Full Tilt Poker. |
